George Clooney being interviewed by Larry King outside the White House right after a meeting with Barack Obama and Joe Bidden about Darfur.  George has been active on the Darfur cause for years with many trips to the region and many many interviews and speeches on the issue.  Now that president Obama is in office, George can count on support from a good friend in the White House.

George and his father speak of the horrors they saw and urge action to stop the genocide happening in that part of the world.

Clooney interviewed on French TV TSR talking about Darfur. I personally don’t speak french and so didn’t understand it.  But the prolonged closeup is enjoyable…

A Clooney special on Al Jazeera’s The Fabulous Picture Show edition about George’s career with a special focus on his humanitarian efforts in Darfur. The Fabulous Picture Show also highlights George’s links with Nespresso (a brand owned by Nestle), a company that has had a controversial past in African countries.

George Clooney talks about his Darfur efforts and also mentions that Brad (Pitt), Don (Cheadle) and Matt (Damon)  have all been there in the past year. Towards the end of the clip, Matt takes the micorphone and adds his view.

George Clooney is honoured for his Darfur peace efforts along with fellow actor and humanitarian Don Cheadle.

George Clooney describes te diar situation in Darfur and compares it to Rawanda.  He explains what needs to happen to get a sieze fire implemented.  George looks like a very credible politician in this video.
