I doubt very much that he received any significant money from ER syndication. Remember that he has never renegociated his original contract… And it is well known that it is actually the Ocean’s trilogy which gave him most of his money those past few years.

“Le Grand Journal” is not a weird french show, but a very popular one, hosted by a very talented french journalist. Everybody praises it in France and all the politics and stars came there every day.
if you have seen and understood the whole part were George Clooney was you would see that it was not weird at all. And he seems to enjoy it the whole time.
I was very lucky because I could attend the show. George was in front of me and I can tell you that he seemed to be really touched that someone dedicated a song to him. I also would suggest you to try to listen the whole song beforce assuming it could be or not very weird… because it was certainly not and I doubt that even one people who have heard and understood it would share your point there.
I also can tell you that he seems to be really thankful toward the journalist who gave him the disc and after the show he kept it all the time with him…
so much for someone who, like you pretend, thought “what the hell am I doing here”. I can tell you first hand that the reality doesn’t confirm your comment at all.
